+231 Half of the high school populace would fail english if it weren't for sparknotes, amirite?

Most people don't use Sparknotes because they don't understand the material, they just don't want to waste time reading an entire book when they can read the summary in ten minutes.

I am in 10th grade and have never used sparknotes and still managed to successfully pass English..people just need to stop being such slackers.

I thought the same thing until junior year... Just wait..

I'm a junior taking honors American Literature Survey and I haven't used SparkNotes ever...

Well I've never used them before this year, but I'm taking AP English and some other classes I have to read for, plus I have a job and extracurriculars

I'm a Junior, and I've never used Sparknotes or anything of the sort. If I were to pass on reading a book for class, I doubt I'd be able to even make myself take the 15 minutes it takes to scan the summary.

I don't care. They work. I got a perfect score on a test just from reading spark notes and listening in class

if sparknotes didn't exist, people would actually read.
