I can't think of anywhere it's been done recently. But i might just be out of the book-burning loop. It was done in a lot of middle eastern countries, i want to say china too for some reason. But i'm no expert

If you go to Nazi Germany... maybe Soviet Russia, maybe the futer where all our freedoms will be taken away by evil robot ninjas from the 5th dimension and education will be our enemy... or any place where a new extremely radical book came out, in a place where the standards are ideally the exact opposite. Which ever's more convenient for you, however three of those four require you to have a time macne.
