-49 White colonization has left Africa and parts of Latin America in shambles. The world would be a better place if the age of Imperialism and Colonization never occurred, amirite?

Guess how the US was established?

The United States fought for it's independence. Many of the African nations who were colonized were drained of what they had, and then the whites just sort of left. Except in South Africa, they established Apartheid

If you notice, Europeans felt that the land was just entitled to them and they could just "take over" the people without even really taking over. I totally get what you mean though!

Hm try again buddy. White people didn't already live there, which I'm assuming "fought for independence" would infer. White colonization and Imperialism is what made Great Britian COLONIZE the New World in America. Only THEN did we fight for independence.

^The US was not colonized as a result of Imperialism. Imperialism didn't come around until after the Industrial Revolution. The US was what was called a white settler colony. People went there to live. South Africa was one too. The rest of Africa and Latin America were never seen this way so they were screwed over by Imperial powers and left to fight for themselves.

Sorry, mean't colonization, not imperialism.

The world wouldn't be where it is today. It could be argued that it would be better, but I don't think it would be.

No, those places would be better (not good, just average), but the world as a whole would really suck.

Too much butterfly effect to say whether or not it'd be better or worse.
