-137 guys:you wonder how Jews survive with a circumcised penis? i mean it would be super sensitive and hurt from everyday activities such as walking. amirite?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

After years of circumcision, it gets tough and desensitized... You don't notice anything like you would if you had gotten circumcised at say 20 years old.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

lol that sounds disgusting....

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It is. And sadly, circumcision is seen as a "Necessary procedure"... But why remove a perfectly healthy person's body parts? You wouldn't expect to go in for a check up and have the doctor say "well, there's nothing wrong with you; but just in case, let's remove a kidney"

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It's removed because as a baby and child the cleaning of it is VERY important. It can be the cause of a lot of health problems.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You're obviously uneducated about it so I won't argue with you; just do me a favor and do some research.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Haha I did research while pregnant thank you.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Apparently not enough. I assume you removed that poor baby's foreskin.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

No, I had a girl. But when I do have a son, he will be circumcised. You may not agree with it but it's all in opinion I guess.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Why were you looking up circumcision if you were having a girl? I really think you should reconsider. Let your sons choose what they'd like for themselves when they're old enough; rather than mauling them at birth.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

And then he gets to go through the pain then? I think circumcision at birth is a good idea but the time to decide isn't now. Who knows, maybe by the time I have a son the doctors will have different opinions.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

He still feels it at birth, he just can't vocalize his pain and most mothers ride it off as "he's just fussy". You're setting him up for potential infection and sexual issues later on by circumcising and doctors will almost always tell you that cutting is the best way to go. But if you were making money from option B, you wouldn't recommend option A.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

He would be given something to stop the pain if I'm right and like I said I don't have to decide yet. You have raised a good point though. Thank you.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

They're almost never given something for pain. Thank you for listening. :)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

That's horrible. I didn't go super into it with the doctor, I more or less collected my knowledge in my own and assumed there was a numbing agent involved in the procedure.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Sadly, no. They pinch off the blood flow and assume that'll make up for it. At the most, they rub it with something similar to Orajel. But imagine rubbing that on your clitoris and cutting it off.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

are you circumcised? o.o....you seem to know so much about it

by Anonymous 13 years ago

No. My boyfriend was and we looked into it together and he decided to start "restoring" his foreskin. You learn a lot reading over someone's shoulder...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

lol woo my post had the potential to change a baby boy's future reproductive organ state? lol yay i changed a life? : D

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Haha good job!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

a mother decided to get her 5 year old son circumsized. Something went wrong, bacteria got in during recovery or it was a new procedure or something... The tip of his penis turned black and fell off. O.O

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Also, to your earlier question. I started research when I first got pregnant before I knew the gender.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

How does it cause sexual issues? And why does it matter? Its not your kid. And yes it can cause problems if its not done and the kid doesnt clean properly.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Ineffective trolling

by Anonymous 13 years ago

and nope i wasn't trolling i really thought this when ehm...i hit the sensitive part.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Well I'm assuming you're a male, correct?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

yup

by Anonymous 13 years ago

That comment was to you btw.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You do realize most boys are circumcised at birth right?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yes, he does.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Okay, had to double check. Cause honestly up until the time I got pregnant I didn't know what curcumsion was.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

but i really only thought that only certain types of people were circumcised because of a religion or cult....i honestly don't know anyone that is circumcised.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

lolwut

by Anonymous 12 years ago

really? ooh no i didnt know that

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Haha call your mother and ask if you're circumcised, I garuntee you are.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

no i am not -_- i can tell because i still have that erm.....extra skin thingy

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Where do you live? Cause it's more common then not in America, and Canada. I'm not sure on other places.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

America, California

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Damn, I've actually never heard of any guys that haven't been circumcised, and it's odd we are having this conversation.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

LOL, but i seriously don't know anyone that is circumcised ~.~

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Crazy shit bro.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Actually..most people in the world are not. Americans do it because the stereotype that it helps increase the chances of infection, which WOULD happen in cases like war (note that this was widely believed during WWII) but not in normal day situations. If you wash it like you should, it's got the same health risks and such as cir. And the other reasons would be religious. So only America and Jews do it. And only about half of men in the US are cir, believe it or not. The rate is steadily decreasing.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm not Jewish, my parents are E-free Christians and I got cir, and i live in Canada

by Anonymous 12 years ago

o.o how would you "wash it"? I wanna learn your technique! : D

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Just like you would with a cir one. Just, pull the skin back and do it then.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

uhhh....doesn'it the tip hurt? if u mean like washing the sides i understand...but...

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I alway thought that ment cutting tip in the middle, if you had a choice would you of gotten it done or not?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

heck no! if you're a guy you should know that the tip hurts and the skin is there to like...protect it or make it not as sensitive. it is just SOO sensitive if the skin isn't there...that's why i asked how Jews can survive with that...lol

by Anonymous 13 years ago

The skin is there but if it gets folded back then its super sensitive. Which can help in certain areas lol but not necessarily others

by Anonymous 12 years ago

then how the hell do u have sex? because honestly, the tip without the extra foreskin hurts like crazy. I'm questioning my sanity and if I am normal because it does indeed hurt...or rather STING

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Oh, and btw, people use lube during sex for that reason. When you have something that makes it easier to glide and such, it decreases sensitivity exponentially. And if you're cir from birth, then the skin is used to touching surfaces and being exposed, so it's not sensitive for them.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

still hurts...or stings though I couldn't imagine sex

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I have been circumcised from birth. And the skin there is not sensitive at all. I don't know if it takes a while for it to become that way, but I never remember it hurting. Actually, to me, it feels like it would be weird to have skin there. Consequently, I think that the baby would probably not care either way because whatever is chosen will be what is normal for him

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Oh... I did not know that. Health class was a waste.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

lol i didn't even take sex ed yet o.o

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Well, you haven't missed much. Penis pictues and crotch labeling worksheets is basicly are there is to sex ed.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

awesome! lol i heard that you learn how to put condoms on dildos haha....that's what my friend did for their class.....sounds like an EASY A? : D

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Ha, yeah. It's always amusing hearing peoples questions on sex.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

lol free condoms at the end of every class? that'd be awesome :D use them to make water baloons or fill them with milk and throw them at people

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You know, I honestly thought that most American boy babies are circumcised nowadays. Not just Jews.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I was circumcised, I'm not Jewish, it not "super sensitive", I've never had anything close to an infection

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I do believe infections would be more if uncircumcised. Poor hygiene in that area, under the extra skin, would result in infection.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Yeah, that's why most circumcisions are performed now, to prevent from bacteria harboring in the foreskin. Without the foreskin there's a lot less crevices to worry about cleaning. Especially when the man is elderly and has issues cleaning himself.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Exactly :)

by Anonymous 12 years ago

ya, circumcision actually helps against infection, and i'm not sure about other places, but I only know three guys that aren't. I'm not sure about other people but the tip doesn't hurt. For a lot of parents it is more of a thing like if your father had it, you most likely have it.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

As a 14 year old girl who has never taken health, could someone please explain to me what circumcision is? I kinda get the gist of it, but I'm not exactly sure...

by Anonymous 12 years ago

When a guy is born, his penis has what is called foreskin around it. Foreskin covers the penis, but there is another layer of skin beneath. If a guy is circumcised that skin is removed to leave only the bottom layer. Some argue that circumcision helps prevent infection because bacteria can get in between the two layers, but if cleaned properly this is avoided. Generally it is done at birth, but I think one could get circumcised at any age. If you dont understand what foreskin is then type foreskin into google images for a picture.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Ok... So wait, Jews are usually circumcised? I thought they weren't...?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Jews are, because they follow the Old Testament. In the Old Testament, it was ordered that they should circumcise their children at birth. This rule wasn't nearly as prominent or necessary in the New Testament, which they don't follow at all.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Oh... Ok.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

jews do it because it's of their religion/cult

by Anonymous 12 years ago

There are no medical reasons for circumcision. All you need to do is clean it. Look up a video of a circumcision; they're inhumane.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

but the tip hurts without foreskin : /

by Anonymous 12 years ago

You're not circumcised right?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

no

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Nice neither am I.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

is the head sensitive like hell? mines is. I sometimes think I'm abnormal because of that....

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Yeah like when the skin gets pulled back? Yeah it kinda hurts and it's just uncomfortable.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

lol ok I'm normal! : D but imagine sex, must hurt a lot.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Haha it's a little bit uncomfortable the first few times. You just have to get used to it.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Mines not that sensitive haha. If lubricated properly, it feels amazing pulled back

by Anonymous 11 years ago

How could I be the only person who read walking as wanking?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Almost every guy I know is circumcised. Yeah I know, that's a weird conversation to have but what can I say, sometimes those things just happen to come up. Anyways all the guys I know who are don't mind it at all; in fact they actually like the fact they can be lazier when it comes to cleaning up, and they don't remember it hurting at all so they didn't care their parents chose for them to have the procedure done.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Why did I read all these comments..?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Sometimes I think the cult of circumcision in the states was propagated, & popularised by the manufacturers of lubricating gel. The washing/cleanliness issue is a non-issue in this day & age, & the main issue is, in fact, one of consent. You are cutting away the protective sheath that humans have evolved to protect the sensitive glans, & keep it moist. This is a mucous membrane, and if it is allowed to dry out, the skin thickens & becomes desensitised. This loss of sensation is exacerbated by the loss of thousands of nerves as the foreskin is removed. The result is reduced sensation during sex, & a delayed, less intensive orgasm. Also, as the foreskin allows the penis to move within the vagina with little friction, it’s absence means that artificial lubrication has to be used during intercourse to prevent soreness of both the penis & the vagina. I consider it to be unspeakably cruel for a parent to mutilate their child in this way, without any consideration of his own wants & feelings.
