I understand drinking beer every once in a while, but I know tons of people that can't go a day without having 5 beers. Then on weekends they drink a lot more than that and come home drunk. Seeing the way they act and the things they say make me never want to be like that. As far as taste goes, everyone is different. Many people like it.

look, the same point can be applied to a lot of 'cool' things; alcohol in general, cigars/cigarettes, other drugs (pot, crack, meth, pills, etc.) it's all very, VERY stupid, illogical, and pointless. but regardless, people are going to do it because a certain 'look' comes with it.

For the asshat arguing "some" people get violent on pot; please, do link us to one example, because in all my years of intensive and thorough research I've never uncovered such a thing. Also, marijuana is non-toxic; this means, you *cannot* overdose on it, period. The amount it would take is impossible to ingest w/o falling asleep first. Alcohol, on the other hand, is toxic- anytime you vomit from drinking, that is at least mild alcohol poisoning. What, did you think you were just full? Lol... anyway, severe alcohol poisoning is not really that difficult to get, and it can kill. @renegade: I've been a member of NORML for years =) good show spreading the word. I'm going to go look up which alcohol companies are opposing the drug law reform, and my friends and I will boycott whate...

How about you confirm the truth of something before you call it "bullshit"... people kill driving drunk every day, while "acute marijuana intoxication"(legal term for being stoned) can't be conclusively linked to a single death... ever. The commercials that say whatever percentage of drivers in accidents tested positive for marijuana carefully don't mention that it could have been smoked days or even weeks before and still shown up in the test, even though the person wasn't high at the time. I really could go on ad infinitum, but point being: you people have no clue what you're talking about, and should stfu when that is the case.
