+287 "Oh my God," is really more of a commonly used expression as opposed to a testament of faith. You don't need to be religious to say it, amirite?

i agree

And if you're not religious and you say it, it's incredibly annoying when a religious person gets offended and tells you not to say it.

No, I think it's really stupid when non-religious people tell people to go to Hell and say Oh God when they don't believe in it. Why would you tell someone to go to a place you don't believe exists, or say a celestial figure's name when you don't believe it will do anything.

The same way you would have no problem saying "Merry Christmas" to anyone no matter their beliefs.

Actually no, I celebrate my Christmas January 7th because I'm Orthodox and then I say it to my relatives in my language, so I usually don't say Merry Christmas to people unless they say it to me first.

I don't understand why I was thumbed down, do you not believe me?

I think it's stupid that people complain about me using it. Especially when they're like "Oh stop using the lords name in vain deblehdeblabla-" Listen bitch, I said MY God. Not your God, not your friends God, MY GOD. Not everyone believes in Jesus you dumbass. Oh my God. /rant
