I always though Jake and Bender were exactly alike, they even sound the same.

They sound the same because they're actually voiced by the same guy. I didn't even know this at the time of posting this.

Did the voice-actor re-sell the 'Bender' voice when Futurama was cancelled. I recall the same thing happened after 'Family Guy' got cancelled. Some kids cartoon had the voices of Brian and Peter, actually for a cartoon man and dog. In both cases, the voice actors could have used different voices, since they are known for their vocal creations. It can't be a co-incidence that they recycled voices in the aftermath of show cancellations.

Actually, it was for a little while, but Comedy Central took it under its wing and kept the show going!
