Pages are put in books in multiples of 8. Any left over are blank in the back of the book.

They are called flyleafs, they are often used for notes.

yea but like childrens books and stuff...why would you have a use for them? i've never used them
by Anonymous13 years ago
In mine from when I was younger my parents would write me little notes. I remember being able to read well but I had a tendancy to stutter. My dad used to lose his patience and walk away from me when I'd read aloud. In one of the books he bought me he wrote to me telling me not to quit trying because of his lack if patience. (Sorry for the long story)

aww that is so cute! i wish my parents did that. that's really sweet haha

You wish your parents did it for you? Then do your children (if you have one either now or later) a favor and do it for them. Even a note here or there from my father would make my day.

I think I may do that when I have kids. Thanks for the idea that is really cool. :D

They are an ever constant reminder that the story does not end when the words do. It is a world of its self forever parralelling ours, weith not gateway or door to see into it besides the portal you hold, the story you read, the window into it. It is a symbol to keep searching for this open door.
