+455 Saying "I could care less" is useless as an indicator of how much you care, because all it confirms is that you care at least a little bit. It's completely up for debate as to how much you really do care, amirite?

You got excited because you thought I was Anthony when you saw the notification, amirite?

To be honest, yes, but now I just think you're a douche.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

That's why I always say "I couldn't care less" :D

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yup, that is the correct usage. :)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Exactly what I was gonna say.

Thank you! I hate when people say that. My dad always says in response "If you could care less, then why don't you?"

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I thought it was 'i couldn't care less' cuz that makes sense

by Anonymous 13 years ago

That's what it is.

It's just people being lazy and not wanting to say the whole thing, so they say "I could care less".

It takes maybe a quater of a second longer to say "couldn't" than it does to say "could," though. I really think people just don't get it, lol. Or maybe they haven't really stopped to think about it. Or maybe they have, and they don't want to say it the other way because they think it might be wrong somehow. Lol I don't know. I just think it's kind of weird.
