-109 You can't mourn someone who you had no connection to, amirite?

Why is this negative? If you'd had no connection with someone, you would not have even known of their death.

But say it was some influential person that you saw on tv, or a celebrity that you really liked; you would mourn their death because you liked the person, even though you didn't personally know them.

The connection would have been exactly that: you saw them on TV; you really liked them as a celebrity. If there were no connection, you would not have known about them.

There have been people who I never knew, and the only way I ever heard about them is because they died. So I didn't really have a connection during their lives, but I still mourned them.

How exactly did you mourn them?

I actually started crying while I was looking through some of the posts on the Facebook group made in this girl's memory. I read what some of her best friends said, and she seemed like an amazing person who didn't deserve to die (she was hit by a car; it wasn't even her fault).
