Uh, no. Fantasy kinda sucks a lot of the time nowadays. It's a fiction book about a teenage girl who everyone assumed was lesbian, until she decided to change her gender. It's just his journey through high school, crushing on a girl and trying to deal with being a freak.

Sometimes you read a post like this and think, "Why would someone feel the need to say that a million dollar bestselling book isn't good?" And then you realize it's because they're bigoted and stupid. Everyone has their own opinion of what a good book is. If someone likes Twilight that's their right, and NOT your right to say they're stupid or obsessed. I'm sick of people like you, bashing people who "only liked Twilight because it's cool?" No, you DON'T like Twilight because now it's apparently cool to bash people who like a book that was well written and has tons of readers who actually read it and understood that it's not just about "getting the guy." It about overcoming boundaries, no matter what they be, to be with your true love. And if you don't understand that, YOU'RE the stupid one, my friend. I'm sorry to go off on a tangent like this in the comments section, but this, like my interest in books, is my opinion.

Calm down. The OP never actually bashed the book or said that it wasn't good. For all you know might actually just be stating that there are other books out there that he/she believes to be better that aren't as popular. As you said: "Everyone has their own right and opinion to what a good book is." Personally, my favorite book is Impulse by Ellen Hopkins which I believe to be WAY better than Twilight, but that's just my opinion.

It's because the crazy, obsessed girls that love Twilight relate to Bella. They're average and unappealing. The ones who read the books hope that something like a sparkly vampire would fall in live with them for no apparent reason like Edward and Bella. When you think about it, it's really sad.
