I had this one teacher who insisted that grizzly bears were carnivores. Her proof was that she was the teacher.

I have this service dog that I take to school. A while ago my Chemistry teacher decided that he knew more about service dogs than I did, despite the fact that neither he nor anyone in his family has one. He started giving me weird dog advice, like that I should carry a blanket from class to class for the dog to lay on because it was cruel to make it sit on the floor, and that my dog was at risk of becoming depressed because every day he was around people who weren't allowed to pet him, so I had to let him sleep in the bed with me or he would never get enough love. He also began contradicting me when I gave the dog commands, saying that I wasn't speaking forcefully enough or that it was stupid to say "down" and I should teach the dog to respond to something more normal, like "sit." This teacher was also deeply homophobic and had some kind of raw hatred towards Chinese kids. He was weird.

I had a teacher that said the past tense of dive wasn't dove. We all wanted to kill her. But, it's also the same for parents. They usually think that they're always right, and just because they have kids, they tend to think that their kids are so much younger and more naive than they are. I'm not complaining, I'm simply stating the facts.
