+424 Whenever a town has two of the same highschool, like a North and South or an East and West, you cant have a conversation with people from each without one of them casually saying theirs is better. amirite?

My home town has two school in it, and they have completely different names-not a North and South or East and West, but two COMPLETELY different names- and people still feel the need to state which one they think is better whenever there's a conversation about one or the other going on.

East high wildcats > west high knights

that's the first thing i thought of.

Lindsay Thurber Raiders > Hunting Hills Lightning How the fuck does Lightning fight?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

There's a school in my conference who's mascot is Blue Thunder. At least lightning can actually hurt people. What the hell is blue thunder?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I went to a school where we were the Lehigh Lightning. Our rivals were the Ft. Myers Greenwave. In a contest of mascots, I think we won. (Besides. Our costumed mascot was Zeus. And that's pretty badass.)

We have all 4. East and South are rivals. South and West are rivals. Nortb just sucks.

North** :(

Imagine how it is in Chicago, we've got nearly 100 high schools, and that's just counting the public ones. Pleeenty of rivalries haha

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Not really because everyones high on drugs...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

way to stereotype. It's actually a great city, and most of us that are seriously interested in our education are not on drugs.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Ok-ay ahah

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Because, definitely, you would know more about my town than me.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Oh because I don't live in Chicago? Check my profile before you make egotistical assumptions.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Well its not egotistical. You can see why I might think so, being so many other places. Not many people I know who care about their education here are on drugs. Learn more about your city and the people who care for it before you generalize that EVERYONE is high on drugs.

You don't deserve anymore of my time. I'm going to smoke some pot and do coke with my friends from high-school... But I WILL say sports cause rivalries and seeing as Chicago as other forms of entertainment... sports are not as popular as they are elsewhere.

Shawnee Mission North Indians > Shawnee Mission East Lancers

east high > west high in my town :)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

We don't have any East, nort, south, or west schools that I'm aware of.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

My school (Haltom High) hates (Richland High) even though we are in the same district. My school has shirts that say "Beat Richland" whenever they have football games against each other, even though both teams suck.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Colleges are the same way. I live in Alabama. I can't have a conversation with a Crimson Tide fan. EVER. It causes too many issues. Auburn Tigers > Alabama Crimson Tide. :D

We have a Sullivan South, Sullivan North, Sullivan East, and Sullivan Central. Don't know if there was ever a West.
