+548 A great thing about J.K. Rowling is that she isn't afraid to place her characters in the bathroom, amirite?

i think the harry potter series are the only books ive ever read that mention bathrooms, excepting ones where children or pets get trapped in the bathroom.

Ones? Exactly how many books have you read about children getting trapped in bathrooms?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

multiple.

Except there's only maybe three mentions of bathrooms: Moaning Myrtle's, prefect's bathroom, and briefly in the 7th book in the beginning when he cleaned up the cut in his finger. :)

(Emma {watson}): and when the ministry workers flush themselves down to the ministry.

wrong. if you were to go back, they actually go in an out of the bathroom at points. one main time you didnt mention: 7th book, harrys scar hurts, hermione thinks theres something wrong so he runs to the bathroom, and passes out on the floor. when they follow, he pretends he was using the toilet.

(Emma) It's also mentioned when Hermione talks about Cho crying in the bathroom, and when Harry uses that curse that slices Malfoy open in the sixth book

All this talk about bathrooms makes me wanna pee. But yeah, I've noticed that, too.

At the very beginning of these comments, I also read trapped as raped, it's so weird to how many people this happened... It's so annoying when books pretend that bathrooms don't exist and people never need to pee.

It is fitting she writes about them as her work is equal to that which you use toilet paper to remove.
