+349 Cheerleaders can, essentially, be defined in 5 ways 1.)Really bitchy and stuck up one. 2.) A little too cheerful. 3.)Completely stupid 4.)Complete bookworms that do it as an extra curricular activity and 5.) The one who does it to try and be popular, amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

6.) Normal girls who happen to like cheering.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Nope. Cheerleaders are not normal, most of them are either slutty / idiots. Sorry to break it to you.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Most. The normal ones fall under a little too cheerful.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Hmm, I see. Yeah that makes sense haha.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I win

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Not entirely, you didn't talk about the ones that are whores.

My friend is the captain of the freshman squad AND is a mathlete. She is a little overly cheery, though.

I'm actually going to agree with you. Maybe it was just my high school, but our cheerleaders (and jocks, for that matter) were just...normal. They just did sports and such for the love of it, but somehow didn't get stuck in the stereotype.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

At my school, they're all the losers that try to do it to be popular. All they do is clap.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Same here. They arent even pretty to say the least

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I have a bunch of friends who do cheerleading and they don't really fall under any of those dramatically. There ARE people who do it because they're into gymnastics and dance and schools typically don't gave gymnastics or dance teams.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Id argue #2 then

by Anonymous 13 years ago

... You don't even know them. :/ Just because you're into those things doesn't make you cheerful. If I hadn't quit gymnastics I would've joined too and I obviously aren't the most cheerful person in the universe

by Anonymous 13 years ago

If youre willing to cheer in front of people and allow yourself to be judged, I have to say you'e a little too cheerful. Idk though, thats a matter of opinion

by Anonymous 13 years ago

xD So you're saying if you don't have low self esteem and if you aren't too cowardly/nervous to have people watch you do something, which would involve all sports, makes you "too cheerful"? It's really not cheerful when you don't care about being judged, it's just not being shy, I guess. I do agree with your post, but it's only the stereotypes.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

DAMN STRIGHT IT MAKES YOU TOO CHEERFUL! lol Yes I would argue that, because having any team spirit makes you more cheerful than the average person.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

LOL. Riight. It's not really "team spirit". What if you play tennis? Self spirit? Which would mean not hating yourself makes you over the top cheerful?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Hmmm. I think youre still all for the entire tennis squad

by Anonymous 13 years ago

What if you just like cheerleading?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

(Your+name+(optional)): Id argue that's number 2

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You my friend just described all wimmins....

by Anonymous 13 years ago

My friend wanted me to try out. I said no. She might try out next year. She's falling into catagory #5

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Or 6). Unfortunetly, all of the above.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

actually im a cheerleader and i do it just cause i love doing all the flips and stuff and most people would never guess im a cheerleader... i dont really fall under any of those

the dude who wrote this got shot down by a cheerleader. i hated those girls in high school and even i won't try a transparent, mean ploy like this. zing.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Mmmmm nope I don't date. Like at all. I'm focusing on school right now so I havent even tried to be in a relationship for a while now. And Ive never been turned down X{P

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Just speaking from experience: I'm a cheerleader, and quite frankly, I defy those stereotypes (not trying to be cocky). Honestly, at our school, cheerleaders are made fun of and ridiculed for being "in the way of other athletes". You don't cheer here to be popular or be a bitch. You do it because you love it. Just sayin'

whaaat?!?!?!?! this is so stereotypical...our school isn't like that...? and we're more of the competitive type as a team not as individuals...we're nice and we don't "over-do" it either...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Calm down. Do you know what "essentially" means?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

yeah i know but half the people commenting this dont obviously because they keep bringing up stupid stereotypes

by Anonymous 13 years ago

lol yeah but you seemed so serious

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Is being a cheerleader that important in America? Here it's just like any other co-curricular.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah, I don't know about important, but it definitely "justifies" egocentrism and all around bitchiness
