I think they're just referring to the adults getting overly comfortable with the kids. Like Mr. Tumnus and Lucy (though Mr.Tumnus isn't bad), and Edmund and The White Witch. In the real world if Mr.Tumnus took Lucy back to his house it would be really creepy. The White Witch is creepy regardless if it's in the real world or not haha!
