You really should read the post before you go on a rant defending pokemon and insulting others. He clearly said pokemon games and nothing else. He was relating the situation to what it would be like in real life, and it makes perfect sense in a way. You seem to be under the impression that the anime was released before the games. The games were certainly released first, making your second point invalid. Most of all, it's just a joke. It's not meant to be taken too seriously.
