Or five bars. Maybe they'll go on to the end. Then start the next song...

It's so annoying! But, in their defense, the conductor probably cut them off in the middle of a phrase or a run...

But really, you should be watching. And at the very least, be able to tell when the rest of the band stops playing.

Oh no I'm not saying that it's right, I'm just saying it's also annoying when they cut you off in the middle of a climactic part of the piece or in the middle of that 100 note run.

Haha yeah. When that happens, almost the entire band keeps playing so then it's okay.

bahah, it's always the trumpets in my school's band.

I'm not in band, but there are people in my chorus class who do this and it drives me CRAZY. it's like "oh you love the sound of your own voice so much you have to take a three measure solo after the director cuts us off? thanks for holding the class up"

by Anonymous 12 years ago

We call people who do that "trumpets".

One?

That person/those people piss me off. Like really? Just WATCH dude.

Its worse when theres a two measure rest before the one or three notes at the end and ONE person plays a measure early
