What about sixth. Who thought putting an 'x' and 'th' together was a good idea?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

What? Who pronounces it "all"? It's pronounced like "aisle".

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I say it like "all." I'm Southern though, so that might have something to do with it.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I'm southern too but I pronounce it as aisle, I think.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I says it "all" a lot... but then again, I'm also southern.

I think the "all" sound is more of a southern thing. Where I live people say it like that a lot. I usually don't though I've somehow managed to have no southern accent at all, don't really know how that happened.

Pronouncing it like all seems more like a southren thing.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

i don't really pronounce it aisle, but i don't say all either...its kind of a mix between the two. Kinda hard to explain.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Its hard to say on its own, but when its followed by something else its not that bad?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I say "all" like "awl". So, no. :|

by Anonymous 12 years ago

...what's the difference between "all" and "awl"?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I live in the northeast. We talk fast and lazy, so if I'm just using it, it'll come out "all", but if you ask me how to pronounce it, I'll say "isle" or "aisle".
