+161 I hate it when people say "Not that I'm racist, but..." and then say something racist or stereotypical, amirite?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Not that I'm racist, but cheerleaders are such bitches.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Because cheerleaders are a race, amirite?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

But anon didn't specify that the stereotype had to be a race.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Yeah he did. And so did you. __Rac[e]__ist.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Okay. You can have this one without an argument. I'm too tired to argue.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Wouldn't that be discrimination? I always thought racism was a form of discrimination based on race.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Yeah me too! I hate racists, homophobes, and that black faggot who lives up the street.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Calling the "faggot" black isn't racist, it's just descriptive.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

But saying he hates him because he is black IS racist.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

And calling him a faggot is also a form of discrimination. Not racism, but still.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Or they're just trying to make a point about a proven fact regarding a certain race, and you automatically reject it as hateful or unfair.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I must have skimmed over the part in the post where it said "proven fact".

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Stereotypes are not racist.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I love that. "I'm only a little bit racist." you know, because that makes you not as bad.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I don't know, do you hate it?

I understand that some people are that way; that's one thing, if you keep in to yourself and never do anything harmful, unfair, or mean as a result of it. Okay. But don't lie to me about it. If you have the guts to feel that way, have the guts to take responsibility for it. One girl I know claims not to be racist, and this is a conversation we had the other day: Her: "are you serious? You could find an Asian guy attractive?" Me: "if he was an attractive Asian guy." Her: "what if he was a black guy?" Me: "if he was an attractive black guy." Her: "but black people look like gorillas." Sorry for the lack of capitalization, my keyboard is being weird. But seriously, you can't say stuff like that and expect ne to believe you aren't racist.
