-40 You've heard a little kid ask, "who are the beatles?" and have felt sorry for that childs empty life. amirite?

I know Ill get downvoted for this. But honestly I think the Beatles are overrated.

What the hell guys, why is this comment upvoted? Why aren't you bashing him for his opinions?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I haven't heard anyone ask that, but I'd feel bad for them if they did.

I kind of understand this. I mean, my parents made me listen to The Beatles at a very young age, and that was a good thing--not because I got conditioned into liking "good" music or anything, but because I could decide for myself that that wasn't the sound I liked. In other words, I agree with this post in the sense that trying that kind of thing is important. But simply preferring another type of music doesn't mean your life is empty. I guess a more relevant point I'm trying to make is that my life isn't that much more "full" just because I've listened to The Beatles.

No, why would I? S/he are just a kid so I wouldn't expect them to actually know who the Beatles are considering the band was over years before they were born; years before I was even born. It's more likely they'll know today's artists that are always on the radio or the music that their siblings listen to. To be honest I didn't know who the Beatles were either until I started exploring the interwebs when I was 13 and even know I don't really listen to their music.

Music changes. Get the fuck over it.

I don't like the Beatles, but I do respect their fame and the good songs they've had. I hate seeing great things get lost. I'm sure Earth, Wind & Fire is out of this generation, but I like to keep it alive myself.

I LOVE Earth Wind & Fire!

I don't get the big deal about the Beatles. Music changes, and people have different tastes. If you're into them, whoopdeedoo, if not, I dont understand why anyone should judge or feel sorry for you.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

No, and no I wouldn't.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

No, because it doesn't matter what kind of music people listen to. Cool, you like the Beatles. So what if people don't, or they haven't heard of them? It really doesn't change their value as a person, and you shouldn't feel sorry for them. That's just pathetic.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I think i would be more suprised if that happened because the Beatles are pretty huge. I wouldn't feel sorry though because times are changing and it's more understandable.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

If it's just a little kid I can't expect them to have heard The Beatles by that point. Most likely they wouldn't even know if they're listening to one of their songs cause most people don't have someone following them around pointing out every time a Beatles song is playing.
