+436 You wish that your school's show choir was just like Glee, amirite?

Instead, we take 6 months to learn 4 songs.

Exactly! On Glee, it looks so effortless, learning new songs every week, but in real life the directors don't care if the experience is enjoyable for you. There are vigorous dance moves, and it's way too organized.

I agree. I wish we could just get up and sing new and popular songs on the radio like they do. Instead we sing lame songs that no one has ever heard of, and if we sing a well known song they usually change it so much that it's unrecognizeable.

The people in Glee are professional performers, and they work damn hard for a long time to get all the performances right, plus they get multiple takes if they need it, dubbed vocals etc. It would be nice if we could do that, but it won't happen.

That is why I don't care for Glee. It is no where near realistic. I'm tired of hearing "Why aren't you guys like Glee?" Hmmm... maybe because we aren't in our late twenties?

A MILLION TIMES YES. just the whole 'Pick a song related to _____, perform to show your feelings, etc."

That's exactly what I mean! I hate how we have to rehearse the same four or five songs over and over. I love how they have "assignments" to pick a song according to a theme.

i wish my school could do rhs

dude in our school its all okay we are going to pick a song that nobody has ever heard in their intire life, and sing it a billion times, untill I the teacher say it's good, and make fun of you in ways you do not know, only for the concert you perform at very boring.

Our show choir is singing The Way You Make Me Feel (M. Jackson), The Call (Celtic Women), The House is Rocking (Stevie Ray Vaughn), and Blue Skies. It's a fun show, but no Journey.
