+44 It's not "car-mul", it's "care-uh-mel" amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I find myself saying both sometimes. Care-uh-mel more often, though.

This makes me think of the american accent verse british accent: Which is correct? Some say it Car-mul, car-mel, care-uh-mel, or that weird guy who goes afhusrghiurghguih. It doesn't matter as long as you can understand what they are talking about. Toe-mA-toe, toe-muh-toe It doesn't matter.

Im sick of all these 'its not ________ its _______" posts , theres no right or wrong, it just depends on your accent. Coz im Australian i say neither, i say Ca-ra-mal

I say both depending on either who I'm with or how zazzy I'm feeling that day :)

This Is only slightly related but my sister's name is Carmen but people can't seem to read and call her 'carmul' or 'caramul' or even 'caramel' like really who calls their kid that.

I'm...sorry? I happen to not read EVERY single post on amirite. Therefore, I do not exactly know who posted what... It wasn't a repost. I didn't know you posted it. I was just having a conversation with someone about it and thought it would make a decent post.
