+180 There was a math party, and all were there: square root, natural logarithm, addition sign, etc. Sigma notices that e^x is sitting alone in a corner, not interacting with everyone, so it asks why e^x isn't enjoying the party with everyone else. E^x says "I would integrate, but nothing would change." amirite?

If you integrate e^x, it becomes e^x. So if e^x integrates, nothing happens. Integrate could also mean "join in" or "become a part of" in this case, in terms of the party. It's a calculus joke :P

Thank you! I never took calculus, so I didn't know what "integrate" meant in the math sense. :P

i'm in love :)

Good ole Calculus humor. A year ago I would not have understood this.

Very clever! :-D

ahaha, i showed this to my bestfriend and she just had this confused look on her face.

This is one of my favorite jokes ever, my version is worded slightly different but the same general concept.

Math puns are the first sine of nerdiness. ^.^

Actually if you integrated e' (sorry on my phone, and i can't type in the carrot) you would get e'x+c. Its a good joke though.

depends on whether it's an implicit or explicit integration. For the purposes of this joke, we can say it's the latter... so it works. Also, e^x is also known as an "exponential" FYI.

(notlinkin): Lol I now, it's just that my calculus teachers have it drilled into me not to forget to add c when I integrate XD

Just a few weeks ago I would not have got this! Great joke!
