She's of African decent. If you know about the history of African slavery in Barbados. It's in the Carribbean - there are a lot of black people there.

You're right I don't know her exact ethnicity. But I do know she has prominent African heritage, which is what most people in this country consider a qualifier for being a black person. Saying she's not black because she's from Barbados is faulty logic considering the majority of Bajans/Barbadians are in fact Black.

well i just like to differentiate people of prominent African descent and people that have a lot of indian/white in them. sure some would say she's black, but personally i think there's a huge difference between say african-americans and people in latin america. i dont know, i just don't like to put them all in the same category.

Um, okay. I would still say she's black because both her parents are of African decent but if you want to call her something else that's fine. It's more an umbrella term than anything else. My father is from Haiti and my mom is a mix of everything but I still consider myself to be a black person.
