+211 Internet Explorer users cannot be taken seriously, amirite?

1. Without IE, I wouldn't be able to download Google Chrome. 2. The first time I used IE, I thought it was amazing. However, I was using AOL before then.

People who use IE once, only to download a browser (not a better browser, just a browser) are not IE users. IE was amazing, before Chrome and Firefox came out, it was the tp of the market, in the same way that without any other animal, a slug would have been the top of the food chain.

Exactly, IE WAS amazing. Then better things came along. Now, they can't be taken seriously because there are much better browsers out there. I'm not a big fan of Firefox though.

How? Why?

I don't know why people hate on IE users. We're just as good as other users. enter

I tried to tell my IE using friend that it's slower than both Firefox and Chrome, but she tried arguing that IE was the best and she refuses to change browsers. I give up on her.

I have Firefox, Internet Explorer, and Chrome on my computer and I've used all three. I could care less which one I use, I just tend to use Firefox because all my bookmarks and stuff are saved on that browser.

Okay, I use Google Chrome, but what is the actual reason why people who use IE are looked down on? I've tested it out before and it doesn't seem to have anything different about it that would make people so quick to hate on it. I'm just curious of the actual reasoning.

It's a lot slower and just doesn't have nearly as many features as other browsers. For a quick example, type, "do a barrel roll", into google on IE and it doesn't work.

I always used to use IE, but I've been using FF for a few months now, and I have google Chrome. YUP, still don't see the difference between them except that I didn't used to be able to open pictures on facebook in a another tab on IE but I can on FF (before the whole picture system on FB changed) So I don't know why people make a huge deal about it. Don't like IE? Then just don't fucking use it, but why do you care if others did or didn't?

At first I read FF as fan fiction......says a lot about my personality

A lot of people Have questioned why do people hate on IE. There's many reasons, actually. IE is slow. Like, really slow. Javascript speeds are just god-awful. Especially before 9. Versions before 9 supported like almost no html5 and css3 stuff, and encouraged developers to use flash instead. Flash is proprietary, slow, and crashes a lot. It's prone to being cracked or exploited. A lot of internet n00bs use it, as it comes preinstalled on windows, so hackers think programming for it will benefit them a lot, in addition to it being used much. Also, it's updated less, and enourages people to download those updates less, than FF and Chrome, so they can't fix the browser as easily. Lastly, IE crashes a lot. Honestly, how many times have you seen "internet explorer is not responding"?
