+88 If you've been in a situation with the police before, you realize how shady they are. amirite?

All my experiences with the police have been positive, even when I was in cuffs. There are a few bad apples, but don't let them ruin the bunch.

Story?

Cops are really nice to me. I think it's because I respect them more than other kids my age.

A law enforcement officer will only respect you if you respect them. If they're treating you poorly, there is a reason.

So being black in a white neighborhood is a sign of not respecting police? Being "randomly" searched and cuffed and then released with no valid explanation is fine?

Based on the vague description that you've given, I would have to say that, yes, that's entirely fine. A law enforcement officer can stop and search anyone they want for a number of reasons that may not seem valid to you. They //could// stop and search you for being black in an entirely white neighborhood, especially if you're dressed like a thug and either loitering or looking around suspiciously. There are a lot of things that a law enforcement officer can stop you for, just because you're a black person in a white neighborhood doesn't mean all of their reasons are automatically invalid.

Or worse, being checked for ID and then when you reach into your pocket to take it out they fatally shoot you 41 times because they thought you were reaching for a gun (or at least that's the reason they give later).

I was in this situation with the police but it was really sunny so we decided to move closer to some trees. It was pretty shady...
