+533 Don’t get fifty piercings, full arm sleeve tattoos, and a green mohawk, then complain that you can’t find a job, amirite?

If they are a tattoo artist it wont be hard-so long as they have talent.

True, but the disclaimer 'so long as they have talent' sums it up. My ex wanted to be a tattoo artist, did a short art course, got a mate who was licenced to "mentor" him, but it didn't make up for the fact that he just wasn't that good, and couldn't keep his hand steady.

I've never seen an old guy with all that shit, so either they all kill themselves or are killed by society.

The exception being Priestly in Ten Inch Hero.

Exactly who I was thinking about when I read this post.

Priestly was the best, and so were his shirts XD

it's a formm of self-expression (most of the time), and people shouldn't be treated different for that. unless they are just generally unfriendly or mean or rude.

They knew that they would be viewed differently before they made the decision to get covered in tattoos. If someone actually wants to be taken seriously they should know better than to get all tatted up. No one wants a teacher or a doctor with a dragon wrapped up their arm.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I think it would be cool if I had a teacher with a dragon tattoo on their arm.

I should have said parents don't want their kids to have a teacher like that. Eh, whatever.

maybe it truly means something; cause not all people get tattoos while they're drunk or something or just for no reason. it may not seem like it, but that tattoo could represent a fond memory or a family member.

Trust me, I understand. Next month my sister and I are gonna get matching tattoos of treble clefs with each other's initials on it. That means something to us, We're just smart enough not to get one that's so massive that no one would ever want to hire us.

It's sad that people are judged by their appearance, but its unavoidable in our society. So get all your tattoos and piercings in places people won't see :)

= Pat Kordyback (minus the mohawk)
