I've always thought it would be cool if we fall into a dream state while our brain decays, where we can live out crazy fantasies in our last earthly hours. I wonder how long that period would last in dream-time before you finally die. Imagine if you could have an entire lifetime's worth of adventure in the 10 or so minutes it takes for the brain to fully die. There's this documentary called "Waking Life" that ponders stuff like that. Sure, it sometimes comes off as new age hippie/hipster garbage, but I thought it was really really cool.
