How can people think God is against abortion when he had his own son terminated at 33? amirite?
by Anonymous13 years ago
This post feels so right.
by Anonymous13 years ago
You feel so right.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Then why do I feel so dirty?
by Anonymous13 years ago
I agree.
by Anonymous13 years ago
this post is SO wrong and naive
by Anonymous13 years ago
You are so wrong and naive.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Technically god is Jesus but hey whatever floats your boat...
by Anonymous13 years ago
Wow. Ok, no. God is not Jesus at all. Brush up on your religion before talkin about it.
by Anonymous13 years ago
(Soguesswhat.): "god is three persons in one: god the father, god the son (Jesus) and god the holy spirit." heard this alot of times in songs and from priests :P
by Anonymous13 years ago
god is not three persons in one. if john 1:18 says that he who sees god will die and Jesus came to earth and people saw him. Why didn't they die immediately. There's god, then his son Jesus and the holy spirit is his active force
by Anonymous13 years ago
God is three persons.God found people to not be as worthy to have "direct" contact with him like Abraham and Moses did. The people didn't die because God humbled himself by being in human form (which is Jesus) just so we can see him. And just to back my statement up, according to John 12: 44-45: "Then Jesus cried out, “When a man believes in me, he does not believe in me only, but in the one who sent me. When he looks at me, he sees the one who sent me." the answers are all there.
by Anonymous13 years ago
So when Satan told God that no perfect man would ever be able to remain faithful to him, God decided to come in person and remain perfect til the end. God thought to himself "I can remain faithful to myself!" anybody can do that. It's obvious through both reason and the bible that God and Jesus are two and the holy spirit is gods active force
by Anonymous13 years ago
well you see, this is kind of where faith comes into play. God IS Jesus (and visa versa) BUT at the same time,...not exactly. I know, its confusing. Think of it as, a father and son sort of relationship. You are obviously blood and flesh from your father. Well so is Jesus and God. God placed his own image into Jesus. Jesus is God's blood and flesh and Jesus is perfect because of God. So therefore, Jesus is God's Son. SO yeah. confusing. i know. but its all part of the mystery. thats the best way i can explain it.
by Anonymous13 years ago
So you're saying that Our whole salvation is based on a mystery? That God wants us to put our faith into a mystery? Jesus is perfect because he was not created by a man and woman therefore he didn't inherit man's imperfection. God didn't just poof make him perfect and we call it a mystery. There's an explanation and that's it. God doesnt want us putting faith in a mystery.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Yes its a mystery, why do you think Catholics call it the "Paschal Mysteries"? Like I've told you before, this is the part where faith comes into play. Do you really believe humans have the capability to know the answers to everything? Human beings have been around for so long and yet only three months ago did researchers found out the actual purpose of a toucan's beak! We think we know everything...but we don't. Its great that you're searching for the truth. But don't expect me to spoon feed you all the answers to your questions in just several minutes. Do some research yourself and make sure the stuff is valid. Don't just hear something from one person and settle for it as it is. I hope you get my point.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I don't believe we know everything, for example how our minds can't comprehend how someone can have no beginning and if I wanted someone to spoon feed me knowledge it would not be you. I have found truth. I have a question for you, why did Jesus say to his followers when you pray to our father rather than when you pray to me. I thought you said they were the same
by Anonymous13 years ago
hahah omgosh. you're just going to make me repeat myself? They're the same but not exactly.
by Anonymous13 years ago
So you're not sure. Well You're not going to convince me and I'm not going to convince you so I hope you have a nice day, it was nice talking to you and goodbye
by Anonymous13 years ago
And in my opinion, I believe that sometimes when something seems like a mystery to me, I just try to look for the signs that God gives me. Just to know that at least, I know that He exists.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Just happened to read this and though i'd put my 2 cents in. Ok well in the bible it only mentions the trinity once. But it also talks as in multiple people. Like when u look at how baptism is important u can look in both old and new testament. In the old when Jesus is in the temple he says he is doing his "father's" work. But right after Jesus gets babtised, it says that God says "this is my *son* in who I am proud. My belief is that it is the same person but he had to use that as an example to show that we become his children once we get baptized...hope I didn't jus ramble on. Jus wanted to share what I have learned recently
by Anonymous13 years ago
I appreciate it and it all makes sense. thanks for the thought. :]
by Anonymous13 years ago
His existence I don't doubt
by Anonymous13 years ago
And do you believe that we should be confused? Thats how god wants us to be. Faithful but confused?
by Anonymous13 years ago
Think about water for example. Water comes into three forms: ice, liquid, and steam. But in the end, its all the same thing. If you have faith into what you do not see, God would appreciate it much more.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Yes and that's no mystery. Water changes. So god changes into Jesus or the holy spirit
by Anonymous13 years ago
So since He can change, you agree that God IS Jesus and the Holy Spirit, right?
by Anonymous13 years ago
No, what you're saying is that he's a transformer. Does water control when its Ice or steam. You're saying that hypothetically God "is" all 3 in 1 and has no control over when he's which. i agreed that water has three forms, but not god
by Anonymous13 years ago
Don't twist my words. It was an example. I never said God "IS" water. My point with the example is that its all still the same element. liquid+ice+steam=water, God+Holy Spirit+Jesus=God Don't twist my words just because you don't have any other argument man.
by Anonymous13 years ago
But what if God is one? He has different names...the Son, the Father and the Holy Spirit, but He is not three distinct persons. For example, I am a sister, daughter and friend. But I am one person.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Thats a pretty good question. But in my belief, he IS one person, but is also two. if you read my earlier comments up above, I kind of explained it. I hope that all helps. Religion can be confusing, and thats why you need faith to help you find your answers.
by Anonymous13 years ago
yes to different people. to your sister you're a sister aren't you, not a daughter. to your mother you're a daughter not a sister. to your friend you're a friend not a sister. So according to what you're saying god can be god to me Jesus to you and the holy spirit to you're sister? where do I find out which of the 3 he is to me. i think we're heading for most comments on one post
by Anonymous13 years ago
well I'm pretty much done with this conversation...I definitely don't mind people disagreeing with me but when people get fired up and make me repeat myself just tires me out. good day to you.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I'm not fired up, lol. i was trying to end this unproductive conversation several comments ago. lets live our lives believing each other is wrong. Thank you, have a nice day as well
by Anonymous13 years ago
I can be a friend, sister, teacher, and more to just one person. In the same way, God can be all at the same time to one person.
by Anonymous13 years ago
And according to you who is the holy spirit since you say it can be a person. Because Acts 2:33 says about jesus " he recieved the promised holy spirit from the father". wow god recieved the promised god from god, cuz he's the "same" right? Describe to me this person as you call the holy spirit. now make sure you use the bible. list the verses i'll look them up. I have my bible sitting next to me right here as always. Now look You're not going to convince me and I'm pretty sure that neither will I. I'm going to save us the time and say have a nice day.
by Anonymous13 years ago
God in the incarnation (Jesus) received the Holy Spirit, just like any other man. Because He was God in the incarnation, 100% God, but also 100% man. The Holy Spirit is the same as God. Acts 5:3-4 says, "How is it that Satan has so filled your heart that you have lied to the Holy Spirit and have kept for yourself some of the money you received for the land?...You have not lied to men but to God." But, that's the way I see it and I know it isn't popular to believe the oneness theology. I'm not forcing it on you. Trust me, it can turn into a pretty complicated debate. And I'm not really all that great at explaining it, but there are some good debates you could watch on youtube. They have answered a lot of questions I had.
by Anonymous13 years ago
@686375 (Anonymous): Ya'll can read the comment I left ThunderQuail and read what I learned
by Anonymous13 years ago
I meant God is three persons in ONE.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Wow, I hope this is just a failed attempt at humor.
by Anonymous13 years ago
It's not. It's a succeeded attempt at humor.
by Anonymous13 years ago
humor because of all the people it pisses off. this is a never ending argument
by Anonymous13 years ago
Humor because it's funny. It's not funny because people are mad, it's funny because it is.
by Anonymous13 years ago
That's weird. I didn't get mad or find it funny. I just found it stupid and ignorant.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Because you have no sense of humor.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Oh right, that must be it.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Well, you don't find an offensive joke funny. Easily offended people rarely enjoy any good jokes other than variations of blonde jokes, and knock knock jokes. Basically little kid jokes.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I legitimately just did not find this humorous. For a moment, I was seriously concerned that this person was trying to make an actual argument here, and when I realized it was a joke I was still like -_-
that is all.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Jesus dying for us. Unselfish
Abortion. Selfish
by Anonymous13 years ago
How's abortion selfish? It's plausible that the potential mother has no means to take care of the baby properly, and considers that it's a highly likely possibility that it won't fair well in an adoption agency. Plus, say that's it's possible that the fetus has developed a soul at that point, and heaven does *exist*, it'll automatically end up in Heaven, because of its innocence, amirite? So, *technically* it'll be set for life.
by Anonymous13 years ago
so what you're saying is that if parents really cared about their children they should abort them before they're born. that way there's no chance they end up in "hell"
by Anonymous13 years ago
Of course not. I'm saying that if a parent feels they have no other option, then why can't abortion be one? Why do they have to be ambushed and made to feel guilty for their OWN choices?
by Anonymous13 years ago
Ugh, thats a good argument. I'm gonna need to think a few hours before I come up with a good comeback to THAT.
by Anonymous13 years ago
..Is that sarcasm?
by Anonymous13 years ago
What if i kill my baby for everyones sins? Like Jesus did. That would be cool, right?
by Anonymous13 years ago
Um, Jesus didn't kill a baby for everyone's sins...? wtf?
by Anonymous13 years ago
When did i say that. I'm saying the baby is going to die for everyone's sins. Like jesus did.
by Anonymous13 years ago
There is soooo little that you know....
by Anonymous13 years ago
Jesus died for us, yes...well hell im stumped this post makes NONONO sense. Even if you wanted to make a point you couldn't tie this to abortion..,,
by Anonymous13 years ago
This post doesnt even make sense... abortian is when you kill a baby still in the womb... jesus was 33... not a baby.
by Anonymous13 years ago
i think it's a joke(:
by Anonymous13 years ago
You are a good troll. Your post are actually worth reading. Hope you win your war.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Let the religion war begin
by Anonymous13 years ago
I hope people know this post was a joke...
by Anonymous13 years ago
Id say that God isn't against murder. It relates more.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Lawl.
by Anonymous13 years ago
yeah, cuz jesus definitely didn't have a choice, right? don't draw conclusions just cuz you hate religion. get you're facts straight
by Anonymous13 years ago
I'm not sure what to think about this. I really hope this was a really bad joke. That didn't make any sense.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Jesus DID have a choice, he could have easily zapped himself down from the cross, but he choose to do his father's will
by Anonymous13 years ago
agreed
by Anonymous13 years ago
Double agreed.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I believe that would be murder not abortion dude. It was a good try though. Better luck next time
by Anonymous13 years ago
It is really hard to comprehend, but the Trinity makes perfect sense when compared to the water thing. Just sayin.
by Anonymous13 years ago
A son can be the image of his father but they're not the same
by Anonymous13 years ago
Lol, way to mock your God sir. At least I'm assuming he's your God, since you said you don't deny his existence.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I know that this is a joke, but it's very stupid. If I sacrificed myself so that you could survive, would you compare that with abortion? No. Jesus sacrificed himself so that you could have eternal life. My amirite would be: How can people say that sacrificing yourself for another person is a good thing, and then say bad things about Jesus?
by Anonymous13 years ago
right. Jesus was definitely a fetus...
by Anonymous13 years ago
Piss people off by posting religious statements...
