Unless you live in a small, Bible-belt town... in which case they reschedule it around church >=[ Yeah, kids in my town will trick-or-treat on the 30th, because the 31st is a Sunday, and people suck here.

I'm living in a small Bible-belt town right now, and only a small percentage of the town's prudes are *that* stringent. At worst, there are people who do that lame "trunk or treat" thing at their church, but most kids at my school plan to go to costume parties and etc.

Thanksgiving, 4th of July, Valentine's Day... I can only think of one Holiday that is "censored", and that's Christmas. What holidays are you celebrating?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Then your town must not be as bad as mine... the whole town treats any holiday that falls on Sunday and involves celebration other than family gatherings(Halloween, 4th of July) as if it officially got it's days switched. It would be pointless to try to trick-or-treat on the 31st this year where I live; literally everyone's gonna give all their candy away on the 30th. This year, they did the fireworks display a week late, because the day they chose got rained out... and even though it didn't rain on the 4th, they still didn't do it, because it was a Suuuunday. It's so fucking stupid.

I hate that fact. It means other holidays are censored.

My school censors it, not that we would really do anything in school, but so much as wearing something that is barely "costume" (i.e a hat, ears, something harmless) can get you suspended.
