+418 Katy Perry's song "Firework" is better than her recent songs like "California Gurls" and "Teenage Dream". It has a much better message and is more original, amirite?

Didn't all those songs come out on the same album?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

"Pearl" and "Not Like the Movies" are even better.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

yes! thank you. also thinking of you is my all time FAVORITE song of hers. the music video almost made me cry.

"Do you ever feel like a plastic bag?" wary

yes :

No.

All of her stuff sucks, in my opinion. :

I have heard all those songs, at least once. Fireworks has an awful rhythm and bugs the hell out of me. The message may be better, but it's a very shallow, but positive message.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

how is the message shallow?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Well it's definitely not deep. You don't have to really think about it. I mean shallow as in not deep.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Accept yourself is hardly an original message. d

by Anonymous 12 years ago

yeah...its a better message but defiantly not an original one

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Defiantly?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

oops definitely*

by Anonymous 12 years ago

It's not more original, it takes the tunes of several songs and the lyrics are a heaping pile of stool.. "After a hurricane comes a rainbow." Yeah, that's great, I'm sure the people sitting on their roofs after Katrina felt so much better if they saw a freaking rainbow.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

(Captn_AwesomeI thought it was "after a hurricane becomes a rainbow", but that makes more sense.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

be who you are no matter what...yeah never heard that one...

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Well, I know a pesimist who said "Firework is about looking good for five seconds and then exploding." I think he meant it as a joke though. I personally think it's the most overplayed song of the moment. I hate it because I've heard it so many times, and didn't really love it to begin with.

"Firework" and "Alien" both glorify individuality, but I prefer "Alien" because it sounds better and the music video expresses a more cinematic appeal.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Depends on my mood. I wouldn't want a deep and meaningful song playing during a party.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Not all that different from Born this Way and Raise your Glass really, I think all three songs suck.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I friggin' love Peacock xD It's sooooooo wrong :}
