We used to get tardy tickets... which led to truancy letters...which included large fines... so I don't think anyone really cared how they looked while getting to class...well at my school anyway.

My old high school is broke! They don't even mail out report cards cuz they don't have the money to do so.... So we couldn't use that as an excuse =/

Ha, my friend and I have a "walking routine" from one class to another. We're such geeks about trying to make it the next class on time. At first, we had to sprint to get there. Now we can make it there in 2 minutes. It's a personal record type thing. The day we made it in 2 minutes, we literally walked into the classroom and rejoiced.

My school pretty much organized my schedule so I had to do this. I go to the upstairs, most far room in the highschool building, then down stairs, to the farthest room away on that floor. I have a shorter walk from there to my next class, and to lunch, but after that I have to go from the basement to a building that's past the high school, and from there, back to the wing on the 2nd floor. I honestly have to speed walk because if you're late, and you have a quiz that day, you aren't allowed to take it. sweet.

That's so stupid, we couldn't go to class, if we didn't make it on time... the people who didn't want to go to class, just wondered the halls until they were late, then they didn't have to go to class. The school pretty much gave them what they wanted.... When I was in school, I had to go from the middle right front of the school, to the top left back of the school every morning and then to the bottom floor, which was annoying. But I was only late once and that was in the morning after I over slept and I lied and told them that I had car trouble and they still didn't let me go to class... it was raining like fuck outside and I was soaking wet, I was so pissed I missed the one day our French teacher let us do group activity....

in my school, the policy is three lates and you get a detention, but if your late more then 10 minutes you get written up for a cut. Most kids try to make it on time to class anyway, just because its easier to be on time.

well its three strikes then detention. its ten minutes in one day, not ten minutes over a period of time, you know? our classes are only 40 minutes long so missing 10 is kind of a lot anyway

The ten minute thing is good, I mean ours is if you're a minute late, it's you go to detention... and some asshole teachers are like, the bell doesn't dismiss you, I do. I'm like, "FUCK YOU BITCH, I need to get to my next class"

i used to always be late, but my homeroom teacher gives us these like demerits and get three you get a dentenion. i got 7 first quarter alone and no one noticed. now i run to homeroom cause you can't get that lucky twice. =) haa
