True fans of a band would get mad if someone liked the band right after they got famous, amirite?

True fans get mad when people like the band because of their popular songs. I get mad when people say I <33333 blink-182, and then I asked them whats their favorite song, and then they say I love "I Miss You" or "All The Small Things". That just grinds my gears.

I'm happy for when my fav bands get famous. Like the post above me said. It's super annoying when they only like the famous songs. Marianas Trench was my favorite before they were famous and now it's like the whole world is listening to the famous songs...

True fans wouldn't give a shit, and would like that band for their music, regardless of when other people decide to like a band.
I've heard countless bands before anyone else I knew, knew them, but I don't give a shit who follows what band and when.
If I'm a true fan, I'll just be happy that that band is gaining more popularity.

Exactly.

Although it is infuriating, how else would a band increase their fan base?

ugh so annoying.you like to be an individual and like different music but then once it gets popular, u look like another " OMG HES SO CUTE" fan.

The only thing that irritates me is when some asshole says it's their favorite band and then you ask them their favorite song and it's the one on the radio at the time. It's fucking annoying. Especially when you followed the band from like 4 years ago and now everyone is "so in love with them".

That's exactly what I'm talking about.

Yes and no. Sure, it's annoying when people jump on the band bandwagon, but if you really like the band you should be happy that they're so fortunate.
