Ha, my mother did this once. She bought me an Offspring CD for my birthday, and I never really liked them, or ever expressed interest in them. So I figured, being a mum, she probably went down to a music store, said something like "My kid likes punk music" and the store recommended it. But then she's goes "Hey, can I borrow your Offspring CD?" It's now hers.

My dad does this ALL the time. He used to buy me in either boyish clothes or very conservative ugly dresses. eww. and he buys my mom Polos and he bought her a guyish car.
