...People can understand English soap operas?

Here's how Spanish soap operas basically go: Juan Fernandez is in love with Maria Isabella, and Maria Isabella loves Juan Fernandez, but Maria Isabella is married to Antonio Roberto, who is a tyrant who only married for money and has affairs. Antonio Roberto is in love with Sofia Velasquez, who used to like Juan Fernandez but is childhood friends with Maria Isabella, and when Sofia Velasquez realizes that Juan Fernandez and Maria Isabella love each other, Sofia Velasquez retaliates by stealing Antonio Roberto away from Maria Isabella. Maria Isabella also has a no-good brother Carlos Alberto, who has stolen the money her father bequeathed to them. So, Juan Fernandez chases down Carlos Alberto, and wins back the money, Maria Isabella finds out about Antonio Roberto's affair with her friend Sofia Velasquez, who has come to realize that she loves Antonio Roberto. Maria Isabella leaves Antonio Roberto, who then gets together with Sofia Velasquez, and Maria Isabella is free to marry her love, Juan Fernandez, and Carlos Alberto is put in jail. Also, there are meddling parents and relatives, and a guy who's drunk half the time, and an old lady who dies tragically.
