And those of us with peanut allergies

yeah i think the peanut allergies would suck more. Cus with diabetes it depends on which type you have and your blood glucose level, cus a person with type 1 can actually benefit from having candy if their blood sugar is low....but if a kid with allergies eats peanuts....

I have a friend with diabetes. Apparently she just needs to pay attention to the carb's so she can get the right amount of insulin.

Yeah, my fiance has diabetes, and he can eat all the candy he wants...he just has to keep track of it so he can give himself the proper shot later. For people with type 2 diabetes, not so much...but most kids don't have type 2, that would suck.

I'm a type 1 diabetic, and I can eat all the candy I want. Not trying to bash you or anything. People are just misinformed, because there are two types. There are always those people who when you way "I'm diabetic," they say "oh, my grandma has that." it's usually not the same thing.

my diabetic friend just sells the candy to other kids :)

Hey! I'm the person who posted this. I just wanted to say I knew there were going to people that would say "Yeah diabetics can still have candy!" Trust me I know, and I'm well informed. I was just curious what the votes would be like!
