-288 When your teacher is passing out a quiz, you always get annoyed at the kid who says "thank you" to them, yeah, thanks for giving me a test that will surely bring down my grade, amirite?

That's called respect and manners.

I think there's a difference between saying thanks to the cashier handing you your bag of groceries and saying it to the teacher who's giving you a test. The first one is being polite, the second is thanking something mandatory and everyday (I.e. you didn't ask for the test, so you don't have to thank the teacher for giving it).

Its called being polite you should try it you will be surprised how polite the teachers are to you when you are polite to them.

Wow. Guess nobody likes polite people these days. Also, I do in fact like tests, they are fun and by far my best grades because I don't do homework.

It's always good to be polite to the person who, I don't know, GRADES THE TEST.

I mean, it's polite, but you aren't expected to say thank you. But don't hate on the kid that has manners.

Go study some more then OP. smirk

Seriously? Everyone in all of my classes thanked the teacher when s/he handed out tests.

Mine too, it was just common courtesy in my school. :/

I'm sorry you feel that way, but I do it out of politeness. I'd rather the teacher hand it to me than getting it myself. I didn't know thanking a teacher affected you in any way. We annoying, courteous children apologize for your inconvenience.
