+423 We should have a defined way of "shoving" religions down someone's throat because sometimes people take the simple "Would you like to know more about our God...?" as "shoving" it. amirite?

I say that it's only "shoving" when it's randomly mentioned for no reason, the person keeps saying that they're right and other religions are wrong or the person is told about it against what they feel. The person who says "Would you like to know more about God...?" is not shoving it because you can choose to say no. shoving it is more of a "Would you like to know more about God?" "Not really." "Well, I'm just gonna tell you anyways."

People like that are way to over exaggerating, you can't please everyone.

I think it's annoying when anybody tries to sell you their religion at all. But it only becomes shoving when they turn into a used car salesman.

How about if someone said "would you like to know about Atheism?" you'd be heaps pissed off.

*knock on door* "Would you like to know about how Jesus, our lord and savior, died on the cross for our sins?" "Well, I . . ." *begins reading scripture* That's typically how it happens for me. They usually talk so fast that I don't get a chance to butt in and say anything. So I'm just kind of awkwardly hanging on the door, hoping that it won't be too long. But it will usually go on for at least five or ten minutes. It's made even more awkwardly because they act all sweet and nice, so even if I do get a chance to say "no, goodbye," I'd feel really bad about it.
