Silly American. The Internet is not the US. Your Constitution has no meaning here. Amirite?

This made me laugh (:
And yes, I am a silly American.

I tell people I'm Cherokee. I leave out the fact that I'm only 1\16 though. I'm paler than a motherfu-

Only 116? I'd say that's a bit too old to say "only".

Just for the record, I didn't mean all Americans. Just a couple days ago I was having an INTERNETZ ARGUMENT with this guy and he starts going on about how I can't insult him and all his rights.
I'm all the way over here in Australia, Internet tough guy.

Reading your post with an Australian accent makes it better.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Haha. Feel free to.

what the fuck was he talking about? He must not be reading his constitution, and the whole freedom of speech thing.
I think it has meaning because it means something to us but it shouldn't be applied to people who don't agree. The same way that books you like mean something to you but mean nothing to people who haven't read them.
I replied it for the people that voted your comment down.

This is awesome. Yes, I'm American... and southern as well. ;D

Someone told me that it was "illegal" to say something bad about their religion if I lived in America (which I don't). They made me laugh, welcome to the internetz silly person.

And it applies for all countries, too. Even though individual countries have laws for their own citizens about Internet content and usage, that doesn't apply globally.
It causes big problems for things such as pornography, in that different countries and cultures have different ages that a minor becomes an adult. And, most websites have rules against "illegal content"; but the law differs greatly from country to country. Minor example - some people may be against underage drinking, but compare Italy, where it's common for pre-teens to drink, European countries where the legal age is 14, and most of the US where the legal age is 21.

I'm American, so therefor, this post was TOTALLY UN-AWESOME!1!eL3v3N!1
(I'm ashamed to admit I'm actually from the US)
by Anonymous13 years ago
If you're ashamed then get the hell out! We don't want you here anymore than you do! Go to Canada and you'll be begging to come back in 6 months.
