The term 'PMS' was coined in 1931, while 'Mad Cow Disease' (the term for a condition actually called 'Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy') was coined by British scientists in the mid 1990s. Your post is factually incorrect. You could, however, say that we call it 'Mad Cow Disease' because 'PMS' was already taken.
