by Anonymous13 years ago
I've seen Nguyen a lot, not sure how to pronounce it though.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Yupp, it's the most common Vietnamese surname ever. Well, it depends on the family, my cousins say it differently than my friend (both have Nguyen as a last name) But I say....hmm its complicated to explain. Like a combination between 'win' and 'when' with a hint of an 'n' at the beginning. all one syllable.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Hmm, interesting =D
by Anonymous13 years ago
It's pronounced "Nay gwin" or "Nay gwen". Either way, you don't enunciate the 'i' or 'e' at all. I just spelt them like that because writing "gwn" would be confusing :P The first syllable of "Nguyen" is stressed.
