It's almost just as bad when it's someone that your friends were friends with, because you know you will never get to know them.

One of my oldest friends died on Halloween... I can't go look at his page. I don't even know what to say. =( Yet I feel bad for not saying anything. *sigh*

It's okay that you don't know what to say. Death (especially that of a friend) is shocking and horrible and just takes your breath away. It takes time before you can ever really process everything you're feeling, so putting it into words is impossible. When you lose a friend, you lose a little piece of yourself, and that makes things infinitely harder to say. If you feel the need to write on their wall, a simple "I miss you." says everything. I'm sorry for your loss, and message me if you need to.

my cousin died almost a year and a half ago and his sister still writes on his wall every day which makes me want to smile and cry at the same time.

I've had 2 friends die within two months of each other, and looking on their pages to see how many people love them and miss them can be a happy feeling but also a sad one when you realize you can't talk to them again

There's this kid who commited suicide in my area and his facebook is still up.. You can see the post saying goobye and all the comments saying "Casey, are you alright?" It's so depressing and I didn't even know him personally.
