I can be atheist and still not believe in evolution, amirite?
by Anonymous12 years ago
i don't know about you, but my ancestors aren't apes
by Anonymous13 years ago
Cause you know for a fact, or cause you just don't like that idea so it's best to ignore it?
by Anonymous12 years ago
Way to completely misconstrue the theory of evolution, Anonymous.
Also, stop acting so high and mighty; you're really not all that special.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Honest question here, if you are an atheist and you don't believe in evolution, then what do you believe in?
by Anonymous13 years ago
Jesus. DUH!!!
by Anonymous12 years ago
Don't know if trolling, trying to be funny, or just stupid.

Yes, but not rationalist.
by Anonymous12 years ago
this is worded weird. it's like you want us to vote on whether you believe in evolution or not as an atheist.
better wording would be: "It's okay to be and atheist and not believe in evolution, amirite?"
by Anonymous12 years ago
I mean sure, I can't tell you what to believe....but I'm just wondering, what do you believe in then?
by Anonymous12 years ago
I can be Christian & not believe in Jesus, right?
by Anonymous12 years ago
Of course you can. Atheism simply means you don't believe in a god. It has nothing to do with a belief in Darwin's theory.
by Anonymous12 years ago
No, you get your atheist card revoked for shit like that.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I'm a Christian and I believe in evolution. Evolution is basically a proven fact by this point, anyway.
by Anonymous12 years ago
So you don't believe that god made everything, but you're a christian? lol
by Anonymous12 years ago
First of all, lots of Christians believe in an evolutionary course that has been divinely initiated by God. You don't have to believe in only one or the other. Secondly, not everyone is a fundamentalist Christian.
by Anonymous12 years ago
That would make him a Creationist. C'mon Einstein, you should know these things.
by Anonymous12 years ago
You CAN. I don't know if you're right about that...
by Anonymous12 years ago
It irritates me when people automatically think "It means we came from monkeys." when they hear Evolution.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Yes, but then you're just as stupid as creationists.
by Anonymous12 years ago
It's funny how by saying that, you sound stupid yourself. I know a ton of creatonists who have high education degrees, are above average intelligence and are pretty much rational in every way. But who needs to know that when you can base all your thoughts on stereotypes?
by Anonymous12 years ago
And how many of those "high education degrees" are in scientific fields?
by Anonymous12 years ago
Quite a bit, actually. Most of them are/are becoming doctors, pharmacists, anything in the medical field, really. The others are going into equally important jobs.
In the future, please don't judge a person's intelligence by their religion.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Just because creationism requires the belief in God doesn't make it a religion. There are Muslim creationists, Christians creationists, and Jewish creationists, among others. Just as all those religions contain those that believe in intelligent design.
And I highly doubt you know lots of doctors holding high education degrees. That doubt is further raised when you claim many of them are creationists.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I never said creationism was a religion itself, but you obviously have one if you believe in it. Also, I'm guessing my last sentence was completely pointless to write. But yes, I do know many people in the medical field. Not all doctors, but most requiring a high science degree.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Ron Paul is a doctor who doesn't believe in evolution
by Anonymous12 years ago
Yeah, sure. But it makes you a dumbass.
by Anonymous12 years ago
so... we kind of just... came to be? isnt that christianity? /troll
by Anonymous12 years ago
It's not like just because you don't believe in evolution you have to believe in creationism. So yes.
