+76 Men: hunters, breadwinners, protector of the family. Women: nurturers, caretakers, chef. They both have different roles in life, but that doesn't mean they are not equal, amirite?

My Mum did all the above by herself. If there is a family and the women want's to work and will make more money and the man is happy to stay at home and take care of the children then that's fine as well. Gender shouldn't determine what role you play in life.

Originally, yes- the first humans survived this way, but we've evolved way beyond the point where gender roles should be imposed on people- we no longer live by nature and its rules so this sort of behavior in everyone should not be expected.

Contradictory. Equality is only achieved with equal opportunity, and if people already have predestined roles, they are not equal in their pursuits to have the jobs they want.

As long as people are accepting of either set of roles or a mix for both genders then that's what matters. If people want to be in a more traditional role then so be it and if you've made the decision not to then that's ok too.

Came here to say just that.

Enough with out dated gender roles and gender stereotyping. One should live however they chose to no matter the gender. Men don't have to act a certain way and women don't have to act a certain way. Enough, ok?
