+396 It really would be something to stand outside in the rain with a cup, just to see what a glass of rain drops would taste like, amirite?

Rain is probably evaporated sewage water combined with acids of pollutant sulfur

just mix some sewage with mud and then add a bit of water

I believe that all depends on where you live. In the southern part of Chile, rain water is quite pure. Now, if you collect rain water in New York.....that's a whole different story. lol

Lol DDT poisoning... It's a pesticide in the environment that gets in rain, which is why you can't go to a beach after it rains.

Rain collects dirt and dust as it falls through the air and other pollutants and such. It literally purifies the air. But, anywhere in the world, it isn't safe to drink rainwater because of all the pollutants, Man-Made or Natural.

I've drank water from rainwater tanks plenty of times... But in country Australia it's safe.

In pretty much all aus it's good to drink... I was actually thinking this post was dumb, because rainwater is so common here haha

I was like "I wanna try it!" then I read the comments. Nevermind.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I don't care what the comments say, next time it rains I'm totally trying it!!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It's not bad. It's pretty pure, except for a little metallic taste.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Me too :D

I tried it, i live near Washington DC in the US, and it tasted fine at first, but there was a HORRIBLE aftertaste..

That would be dangerous. Acid rain pollution bugs. Drink tap water, that is tested and safe At least that is how I feel.
