by Anonymous 13 years ago

YYA and homepaged it cause this is such utter mindfuck I'm sure it's genius

a synonym for antonym is not a synonym

by Anonymous 13 years ago

a synonym for an antonym is an ANTONYM to a synonym

A synonym for antonym : the antonym is fat(the antonym of thin) and it's synonym is obese. an antonym for synonym: unwealthy (synonym of poor) - it's antonym is wealthy. So by your logic obese and wealthy are synonyms.

they mean for one description, for example: fat |synonym| for |antonym of fat(thin)| is skinny |antonym| of |synonym of fat(large, heavy)| is thin/lean

I believe you guys misunderstood. The post says, "A synonym for antonym and an antonym for synonym.." As in a synonym for the actual word antonym (not an example of an antonym), and an antonym for the actual word synonym (not an antonym for an example of a synonym).

by Anonymous 13 years ago

well yea that could of been the case.i'm gonna change my vote to neutral.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

but no, synonyms and antonyms ARE antonyms, so we were just trying to understand it in different terms. it still makes sense.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I never said they weren't or that it didn't, I just meant that you were making the concept seem much more complex than it was originally intended to be.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

lol, there's nothing wrong with that though

What the heck is a synononym?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I had to read that about 20 times... but I get it now!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

omg. that was such a mindfuck. took me like ten minutes to understand..

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Well I don't know what a syononym is, so I couldn't tell ya.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Am I the only one who thinks that this is completely obvious?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

A synonym for antonym and an antonym for synonym would be the same. The word is "opposite".
