If i don't have the iTunes top 10 on my iPod, my friends will question EVERY SINGLE FREAKING SONG. They take my iPod, and keep asking "What is this song, I've never heard of it, is it good?" "Who the hell is [Insert artist name here]?" My face gets all red and i snatch my iPod away.

My friends get mad at me for not having mainstream music, and then get freaked out by the more interesting band names. And then they play the only four songs they've heard of, and when I ask them to change it, they yell at me for not having good music. So I usually just have to put up with their constant Taylor Swift music.

Haha so true i get so self concious of it because i listen to mostly rock, metal and classic rock songs, while all my friends only listen to mainstream pop and hip hop and think i'm weird because i dont really like most of that music. But on the other hand, it feels good to be different:)

totallly agree, but it makes up for it when there's that one person who's like "omg i love this band" when you thought you were the only one who listened to them. then you two have a conversation about it and the other people now feel stupid for not knowing them. :D

I have mostly showtunes. I'm not embarrassed, but it gets kinda annoying when people say "Ummm what is _________ musical??"

i actually like some controversial artist's songs (not necessarily the artist, but some of the songs), like Hannah/Miley, and Justin Beiber, because i actually listen to the song/lyrics, and not just say, oh she's such a slut because she's acting like a regular teenage girl, her music stinks and i hate her, or his voice is too high, obviously he's gay, my baby sister can sing lower than he can, he's a girl, his music sucks, i hate him. people who hate them and say things like that just get on my nerves because they have no REAL reason, they're just hating on them, ecspecially now, its 'cool' to hate them, and anyone who doesn't is gay/retarded/a dumbass (also, because i'm ranting now, i might as well say that i hate the words gay and retarded as insults >:/) ok i'm done ranting for now :P
