How the hell does a youtube video get 306 views and 11317 likes? amirite?
by Anonymous13 years ago
I've never seen that happen maybe i should pay attention more... and it would be logically impossible.

When a Youtuber uploads a video, YouTube doesn't update the video's view count for a little while. So when a popular Youtuber like SxePhil uploads a video, this happens.
Buzz kill? Yeah, I know. It's just baffling how people are baffled by this.

Ohhh, okay, I actually saw it on a Shane Dawson video, I was like what the hell...

There's a comment like this on EVERY video, you would think people know by now.

I'd never seen a comment like that before.

(Your+name+(optional)): Well stop having a life and sit on Youtube more. Duh.

some people who are bored at school (maybe like a group of 7 during study hall...) watch the same video on one computer but then they "like" it seperately later.

(Your+name+(optional)): Uhm. You'd have to view the video to like it sooo...no.

Views tke longer to "process" than the likes/dislikes.

I thought it was because it won't register as a view unless you watch the whole thing. It happens with iTunes as well, the play count doesn't go up unless the whole song is played. So it's possible for people to watch most of the video, click like before it's over, and move on.

I have never seen this in my life

for it to count as a view you have to watch the whole thing, but you can like it or dislike it as so as the video starts. at least thats what i heard..

It's because youtube needs to process the video and it takes a while and they can only count a certain amount of views(while the video is processing). But for some reason it can count likes/favourites just fine.
