It's impossible to sing along with a Katy perry song because she hits such high notes, amirite?

Really? Her voice sounds pretty low and almost manly to me.

Are you serious? She can barely hit the low notes in her songs. And when she sings live she just cannot do her "high" notes. She's gorgeous, but she just can't sing very well.

It takes some practice, but it can be done. Just like Wicked. I've been working on that for over two years and I think I can hit every note.

not tat hard...well at least not for me tho i am a high soprano...

Lol I was just going to say the same thing :)

actually it's impossible because she sings such cheesy (or downright awful) lyrics that make you want to puke instead of sing...... in my humble opinion

Well, they're aren't always that high, just a little edited by technology, and I say this as a big fan of hers. But then again I'm also a soprano, which maybe why they aren't too hard. Just try to keep your soft palette open, and breathe diaphragmatically. You can always go a bit into your falsetto if it helps.

HEY KATIE, I'M GONNA LET YA FINISH, BUT MARIAH CAREY HAS THE HIGHEST NOTES OUT THERE

She doesn't "hit" the high notes. She throats them, there's a difference. If she put all her songs half an octave lower so they're actually in her vocal range, she'll appear to be more talented.
